Stop The War; but what war am I fighting?

The aim of the Emergency Response Specialist Course is to train newly recruited, upgrade our on-serving firefighters and NSF with essential working knowledge and skills to function as a Section Commander in the units with SCDF.

So ERS starts tomorrow. Starting to miss BRTC already. The people. The atmosphere. The slack things we do, or we don't do. The food. Yeah, the food. The food especially. Tsk.
Hope I can book out on Thursday. Hope. Usually there's a confinement period for new trainees. They don't really care even if it's a public holiday the next day. Or do they? Tsk.
The staff sergeant there said that a few commandos enrolled in the course, and they quit. Just because they can't take the training. Eyy? Sure? I'm super-duper-wuper skeptical on this one. If it is true, then I'm gonna die in there. Tsk.
Not gonna get the full payment till I pass out from CDA. Tsk.
Gonna get that ultimately uncool eppaulettes, though it's a rare one. Tsk.
I love chocolates. Tsk.

Just a few things not to forget when in CDA.
1) Keep a low profile. Anything goes. Sergeant Hafiz told me this and for once, I fully trust him.
2) Beware of Encik Arshad.
3) Only say 2 things to Encik Arshad. It's either 'Yes Encik' or 'No Encik'. To be safe, say no more than that.
4) Avoid getting whacked by Encik Arshad's stick. Doubt I'll be spared. But I'll try my best.
5) Make the distinction between us and firefighters super obvious. It gives us more welfare benefits. Somehow.
6) Dont eksen-bedek-nak-step-on je.
7) Let Charles be the i/c or timer. Or Abang. Or Nizar. Anybody but me.
8) Greet greet greet.
9) Eat the food I bring sparingly.
10) Never say die. Bo rasa!
11) Another reminder to be low profile.
12) Don't count the 24 weeks. Just go through the course week by week. Look forward to book-out day. The 24 weeks will be shorter that way. That's what the Sergeants say.
13) Inspiration.

So I guess I'm all ready for ERS then. Am I? Starting to get the jitters already, after Sergeant Hafiz demo-ed what Encik Arshad is able to do. Must evade that, at all costs.
Thinking of it again, if Sergeant Hafiz survived the course, why can't I too?
So I'll survive there. Yes I will.
Fireboots, here I come!

Can't wait for 3rd July. They'll call me Sergeant Farhan then.
And 17th March too I think. Spongebob Movie's out.
